The Bachelor of Science in Fisheries Science Program is an applied science and technology degree program designed for students who consider to work in laboratory and/or field settings of fishery and aquaculture organizations and related enterprises. The Program aims at producing skilled graduates with an understanding of science and technology in fisheries, aquaculture and aquatic resource management as well as hands-on experience required to enter employment in the private and public sectors.

Admission Requirements
Admission to the Bachelor of Science in Fisheries Science Program requires Upper Secondary School Certificate or equivalent.
Program Format and Courses
BS Fisheries Science Program is a 4-year degree program requiring 131 semester credit hours.
The Program’s courses consist of general education (a minimum of 30 credits), core science courses (a minimum of 26 credits), major compulsory courses (a minimum of 57 credits), major electives (a minimum of 12 credits), and free electives (a minimum of 6 credits). In the fourth year, students are required to complete an undergraduate research project in the first semester and participate one-semester on-the-job training (cooperative education) in the second semester to help them develop the professional required skills.

Graduation Requirements
Students must complete all required courses with a minimum of 131 credits. Students must also achieve overall grade point average (GPA) of 2.00 or better, and a major GPA of 2.00 or better.
